Robert - just a simple man - B., Oct 28, 2009, 12:07PM EDTThanks Rory, you remain a good friend. Uncle Lewis lived 89+ years; 33 more years AFTER he was told he had 6 months to live. And he lived a full and blessed life. He will still be missed but he did simply die sitting down with a glass of water. Quick, painless. Thanks for your condolences and your friendship.
BTW: Got Streaker's new rabies cert/tag yesterday so she can cross the border. Now I am only one anhanced NY license from coming to Bancroft. Job first (of course) but you should see us in 2010. -

Robert - just a simple man - B., Oct 5, 2009, 5:57PM EDTWhile at the vet's today I read the Sports Illustrated NHL preview issue.
First, they have an awesome photo of Bobby Orr in action. Man, it almost brought tears. Great photo.
Secondly, SI is forecasting a BOSTON - CHICAGO final. First final between any of the original six in a very long time. I would prefer BOSTON vs CALGARY or OTTAWA but I'll take betaing Chicago for the Cup. -

Guy W., Sep 13, 2009, 10:53AM EDTNo, Rory, I haven't led Llewelyn's books. I'm only Irish by marriage, so I'm not that well versed in Irish history. I just thought 'Wind that Shakes the Barley' was a powerful movie. Brought home some of the complex emotions surrounding Irish independence.
